Boon Tong Kee’s Dimsum All You Can

Kung Hei Fat Choi–Happy Lunar New Year to all my Asian friends!

My family and I decided to try Boon Tong Kee’s Dimsum-All-You-Can yesterday to celebrate the CNY. For Php299/pax, this famous Singaporean food chain treats you for an all-day unlimited dimsum from their all-you-can menu with bottomless iced tea.

Since buffets are always a hit for the Filipinos, make sure to reserve a table in advance so you won’t have to wait outside to get seated. Here’s Boon Tong Kee’s Dimsum-All-You-Can menu:

We were quite surprised that you can only choose from these 9 dishes–and hakaw, our family favorite, is not even included in it! 😦

We got one order for each and just reordered whatever we like.

Among the choices, I liked their Fried Beancurd with wasabi mayo sauce and seafood roll with nori wrapped around the siomai. Their porkbuns are okay, but we felt it was filled with too much fat versus pork meat. The steamed buns or siopao are just ordinary. The rest in the menu are what seems to be the things you can find PotDog.

Do I think it’s worth your money? Well, at 300 pesos, I think you can have your money’s worth. Especially that in these famous Chinese restaurant chains where an order can range from Php90.00-Php175.00. But do I think it’s worth a second visit? Definitely not. Frankly, the choices in their all-you-can menu is really disappointing.

Try at your own risk. Boon Tong Kee’s on an all-day dimsum-all-you-can promo from Mondays thru Fridays for the entire February. That’s Php299 per head, service charge not included.

Hakaw is our family’s favorite too! 🙂 The choices for their dimsum all you can is too limited since there are lots of dumplings, steamed buns and steamed vegetables that are really good tasting that deserves to be part of their choices for the dimsum-all-you-can. We tried before their baked pork bun (for take out) and I am satisfied with the taste. Thank you for your review. 🙂
