Loving Shut Up & Kiss Me Lip Crayons from Happy Skin Cosmetics

Over the weekend, everybody’s all abuzz with the latest organic cosmetics brand that hit retail–Happy Skin Cosmetics. Since it’s time to say goodbye to my battered and favorite peach/coral lipstick (see below), I made sure to get hold of that pretty Shut Up & Kiss Me lip crayon from Happy Skin.

My kawawa Motives lipstick

Happy Skin is the brain-child of Unilever Senior Brand Manager Jacqe Yuengtian-Gutierrez and model Rissa Mananquil-Trillo. Not new to the beauty industry, Jacqe and Rissa wanted to provide the market skin-loving products that were specifically formulated to complement Filipina skin tones.

“The reason why we started Happy Skin is because we’re firm believers in good skincare, and we don’t like compromising our skin because of the makeup that we use,” says founder Jacqe Yuengtian-Gutierrez. Co-founder Rissa Mananquil-Trillo echoes the same: “Truly good makeup should be your ally—notyour enemy—in making you look and feel more beautiful.”

Happy Skin products boast of the best skin-loving ingredients. All Happy Skin products are infused with special skincare ingredients such as Japanese tea leaf, cherry blossom, hyaluronic acid, and argan oil. All the key products are sourced and made in Japan to recognize the country’s global beauty capital stature equal to New York and Paris.

Love their quirky makeup counter

A closer look

I swear, if only I could bring home the entire makeup counter, I would. Everything’s so pretty and girly. But what I loved most is their Shut Up & Kiss Me lip crayons.

Whether torrid or tame, your lips will say it all! This Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Lippie is sure to help you make that smackin’ statement. This lip-loving moisture stick is loaded with Shea Butter and Collagen to get fans to line up for a taste of those supple, hydrated, and ultra-kissable lips. High-pigmented, and moisture-packed, this lippie glides on irresistibly smooth (without the stickiness!) and leaves behind a rich, creamy pout that’s way tempting to kiss.

Shut Up & Kiss Me in Summer Fling (Php499.00) | Made in Taiwan | Net Wt. 2.7g

Oh, wait. Did you know that this lip crayon offers three-fold “lip service”? It gives you the shine of a gloss, the pigment of a lipstick, and hydration of a balm! Spoil yourself with Shea Butter & Collagen to keep your lips in lip-lockin’ shape.

Shut Up & Kiss Me comes in 6 gorgeous cheeky shades: Just Married (pastel pink), Summer Fling (peachy nude), First Kiss (bright Barbie pink), Girls Night Out (deep berry), Our First Time (cherry red), and Crushing on You (nude beige).

My pick was a toss between Summer Fling and First Kiss. I ended up bringing home Summer Fling, though.

There’s nothing NOT to love about Shut Up & Kiss Me. The color pay-off is amazing. In fact, it’s comparable to Clinique’s Chubby Stick Intense–same great quality for half the price.

True to claim, Shut Up & Kiss Me glides like butter and is easy to apply. My (already) perpetually dry lips loved the creamy texture. It stays on matte but it’s non-drying. When you look at it closely, you may notice little sparkly glitters on my lips–which I love very much.

Get your own Happy Skin lip crayon now. Happy Skin is currently available at 5 Plains and Prints outlets: Megamall, Shangri-La Mall, Trinoma, Glorietta, and Alabang Town Center.
