Lucky for me, I don’t really have much leg hair to get rid of. But when given a choice on hair removal, I’d always go for sugaring over hot waxing. That’s why I never miss my appointment at Whipped Salon for my monthly pampering session.
Why go for sugar scrubbing?
Ever wonder why the VS models have this unearthly glow on their legs? That’s because the likes of Miranda Kerr, Adriana Lima, and Alessandra Ambrosio swear by having their regular body scrubbing session to get rid of dull and dry skin. Getting a nice scrub before your waxing session is important so as to get rid of the dead skin cells that might cover those little leg hair and prevent pesky ingrown/stubbles. Also, it’s a great way to prime your skin for the waxing session.
I prefer sugar scrubs over salt scrubs since sugar is less abrasive than salt. My skin is very delicate so the salt can sometimes be too scratchy for my liking. At Whipped Salon, they only use sugar scrub for their body scrubbing services so the finer granules of sugar is just perfect me. Plus, I love how smooth and glowing my legs looked after my leg scrubbing session.
Why go for sugar waxing?
If you’re like me who’s intimidated of hot wax, Whipped Salon’s sugar waxing is your best bet. With waxed made from all natural ingredients like sugar, lemon, and water, you won’t have to worry about getting your skin burnt or hurt in any way. Their staff are also trained to be quick in the process. I was done with my leg waxing in 10 minutes (but then again, I don’t have much hair to begin with). Oh, and did I mention it was ABSOLUTELY PAIN-FREE?
I prefer waxing over shaving since you get to get rid of the hair from the roots. This means your legs will stay smooth and hair-free for a longer period of time versus shaving. Also, sugar waxing reduces chances of having those yucky ingrown.
