Pick of the Month: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Diffused Heat

It has been months of careful thinking whether I should or shouldn’t buy this. If you have been following me on Instagram and Twitter, I might have mentioned that I wanted to get my hands on Hourglass cosmetics. But since I have been working very hard and we all know that good girls need reward, I decided to scout a good online store to get it from—Thanks to Lannel Boutique on Instagram. So, let’s get back to our favorite blush of the season.

This ground-breaking hybrid combines the customised lighting effects of Ambient Lighting Powder with a spectrum of breathtakingly modern hues. The result is a natural radiant finish with seamless, soft-focus and buildable colour, reinventing the way you view blush forever. Unlike traditional blush, which tends to be flat, Ambient Lighting Blush uses Photo-luminescent Technology to exhibit depth and dimension. The hand-made powders are formulated using an advanced Miscelare technique – which means “to mix” in Italian – creating the perfect balance of pigment and powder, set in a unique marble finish that no two look alike. The cutting-edge formula means that its full potential is only displayed on application.

Basically, what made Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush very popular online is that you can achieve a 3D blush and highlight effect in just one stroke. The marble-effect you see on the pan is actually a mix of blush pigments and Hourglass Cosmetic’s famous Lighting Powder to give your cheeks color plus instant depth, dimension, and radiance all in one go. The shade I picked, Diffused Heat, is a vibrant poppy blush combined with Diffused Light for a subtle halo effect. I love how pigmented this blush is. It gives the right amount of flush and warmth on my face. It doesn’t look flat, like cheap blushes sometimes do. It actually gives a nice luminosity and glow.

Some reviews I have read about this product claimed that Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush doesn’t last long. However, it lasted the entire day to me even during these days when the weather is bipolar with its hot mid-day sun and cloudy afternoons. Quality wise, I really like hourglass cosmetics. The color payoff are the best, the pigmentation is superb. But, money wise, it’s expensive for me, for a blush that is small. :/ I can buy 2 really good blushes na din with the price of it. I just can’t splurge on that. Blush is not my favorite makeup for me to splurge on it. :/
