Beauty Battle: Nivea Fruity Shine vs Etude House Sugar Tint Balm

I’m sure, with Nivea’s all out 50% off on everything sale, you probably picked u a couple of things that you don’t really need. Out of curiosity, I got myself their Fruit Shine balm so I could compare it with my current favorite Etude House Sugar Tint Balm.

Right off the tube, Nivea had a brighter orange color than Etude House’s pinkish orange hue. Although both tubes smelled deliciously peachy, Nivea had a stronger peachy scent over the other.

Swatching both on my skin, I noticed that Etude House Sugar Tint Balm had a more opaque color and gives off the pinkish-peach tint in just one stroke while Nivea had a sheerer color. It took me a couple of swipes before I got this semi-visible swatch on my arm.

Both tubes, although similarly flavored, create a different shade of peach. Since my lips are naturally pale, I’d go for Etude’s more tinted balm. However, for those who are just looking for something that would moisturize their lips, Nivea’s Fruity Shine could definitely do the job. Plus, you get an added bonus of shiny lips.

Etude House Sugar Tint Balm sells for Php498.00 while Nivea is just around Php90.00. Since it’s on 50% off, I got it for only Php45.00–to which I think is a pretty good alternative to moisturize your lips throughout the day while confined in an air-conditioned room.

So, in this round, in terms of cost per use, it’s evident that Nivea wins. But depending on the primary use of your balm, as to whether you’d need it just to give moisture or if you’re looking more into its coloring properties, you choose your bet. πŸ™‚

Nivea is definitely affordable. Though I rarely use lip balms that are sheer nowadays. So with that, I think I’ll go with the EH tint balm. Besides, it would last long enough naman, so the price would be okay. Yung Nivea bagay sa mga teens. πŸ™‚

MONTHS I TELL YOU XD Sorry if parang ang OA pero seryoso, my friend and I have been searching high and low for the peach variant. All I see are Strawberry and Watermelon. Even Cherry became rare XD I love the Cherry variant but I really want to try peach because I love peachy or orange-y colors more πŸ™‚
