DIY – Lipstick Palette

Don’t you just hate it when your lipsticks start to fall off due to the scorching hot weather in summer? I know I’m not the only one who’s had this problem.

Well, here’s a cool beauty hack I did over the weekend that I’m sure you can do to save your broken lipsticks from going to waste!

What you’ll need:

  • Pill case — I got mine from Beabi for only Php40.00
  • Old, broken lipsticks
  • Microwave

How to do the magic:

  1. Put the broken lipstick bullet in each compartment of the pill case.
  2. Scoop out the remaining product in the lipstick case using a toothpick. Believe me, there’s still so much inside that you can use.
  3. Pop the pill case with lipsticks in the microwave for 20-30 seconds.

Et voila!

Normally the lipsticks would melt at 20 seconds, but if you can still see some lipsticks that needs more melting, you can pop it again for another 10 seconds.

Also, you need to make sure that the pill case you will use is microwave safe, meaning it has a number 5 label at the base of the plastic, much like those marks you see in Lock n’ Lock containers. The one I got from Beabi has the number 5 mark so it’s all good. ๐Ÿ™‚

There you go, in just less than a minute, you have a beautiful lipstick palette that’s perfect for your travel or even everyday use! ๐Ÿ™‚

Lucky for me, I have all my lipsticks intact. I think I would be really sad if ever they would melt. I super love packaging pa naman. :/ And if ever that would happen, I would definitely do this trick. ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for sharing!

I have something against lip palettes. I don’t like how they smell and it makes me feel like they’ll go bad a lot faster than bullets but if it’s the only way to save a lipstick, then, I might try it!
