Makati Authentic Soon Dae House

In one of the small streets perpendicular Makati Ave lies a small authentic Korean foodstop. My beau and I honestly do not know the name of the restaurant however we may frequent it. I guess being there is just a matter of  default–esp. when we’re caught up in the horrible Makati traffic and we just want to wait it out by eating some good food.

The place is famous for their Soon Dae– is a Korean dish made generally by boiling or steaming cow or pig’s intestines that are stuffed with glass noodles. According to my handsome date for the night, the place has the best Soon Dae in Metro Manila. It’s home cooked and really authentic tasting.

Another version of this is the Sundaeguk (순대국) – guk, or soup-like dish made with sundae. Sometimes it includes fatty pieces of intestine (gopchang), liver, lungs, bits of cartilage, and meat.

But, of course, my favorite part is all the appetizer you can mix your meal with.🙂 I decided to skip the normal bibimbop or kimbob and went for a nice kimali–deep fried seaweed rolls in a nice crispy batter.

If you want to try out this charming homey Korean foodstop, it’s just right across Verona Optical along P. Burgos corner San Lucas Street. near Makati Ave.
