CW Beauty Talk

Hello couchwasabi,

Thanks i found your post about sclerotherpay. Im quite hestitant to undergo such treatment kasi nabasa ko sa testi ng iba na dumami yung spider veins nila. Anyway wala naman akong spider veins but i do have agreen medium visible ones. Grrr. Help me. Na coconcious tuloy ako mag shorts.

Hi Mishika,

Thank you for writing over. Before anything else, I just want to clarify that sclerotherapy is not a cure-all procedure for something degenerative like varicose veins. Depending on a person’s severity of having varicose veins, sclerotherapy may help and yet it may also not be applicable.

At the age of 24, I had a ruptured nerve on my left leg, which also made me conscious of wearing shorts. It was an unsightly red spider vein that you can see spot-on since my skin is quite fair. At that time, I knew sclerotherapy was the best option for me. So I had it done and in 45 minutes, the ugly red spider mark is gone. Up until today, I have always recommended having sclerotherapy since it’s the fastest and most effective way to get rid of those unsightly marks.

But then again it is not always the case.Β I would suggest for you to manage your expectations. For those who have severe varicose veins, they may have to undergo a surgical procedure with a phlebotomist instead of just having sclero. While varicose veins may do wonders for some, people who are prone to varicose veins because of their genes should expect that sclerotherapy is just a temporary solution to their problem.

Keep in mind that the saline solution in sclero procedure basically kills off the vein, thus the vein treated with sclerotherapy can never pop up again as spider vein. However, it is good to note that spider veins or varicose veins may develop in other areas since your blood would have to find another passage and because you have inherited the wrath of having weak vein walls, having your varicose veins back is not a far-fetched thing.

In your case, I believe sclerotherapy is a good option for you since yours is definitely not due to hereditary. But to be sure, please consult the dermatologist first. He/she is the best person to know if you are qualified to undergo the treatment.

Remember to go to a reputable clinic and always consult with a medical professional first. It also helps to minimize varicose veins when you keep your legs 12-inches above your heart for at least an hour after a long tiring day. And oh, don’t forget to drink vitamin B-complex to strengthen your veins.πŸ˜‰

Let me know how it goes for you.πŸ™‚

Wow, I didn’t know about this ah. I don’t have spider or varicose veins naman and glad that my whole family doesn’t have one too. Masyado palang mabusisi noh? Mishika did a lot but still, nothing happened, knowing that hers are not that prominent naman. But I know someone who does. Will share this post to her.πŸ™‚ Ang I agree, medical professionals know best. They would really pinpoint the real cause and effect of diseases so better consult them as well.πŸ˜€

i will try antistax let me see if it will work
