A few months away from summer and what’s better than having a smartphone that is waterproof and dustproof? Too good to be true? Well, let’s check out Sony Xperia Z Ultra.
The Sony Xperia Z Ultra is powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 3,000mAh battery, and Android 4.2 Jellybean. It features a 6.4-inch full-HD display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels.
I love that it sports a gorgeous purple color and a sleek 6.5mm thickness. Xperia Z Ultra weighs just 212g and offers 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with Exmor RS sensor and a 2-megapixel front facing camera.
It is also important to note that this is the first smartphone display that integrates Sony’s Triluminos technology, which the company introduced at CES with its Bravia televisions. With Sony Xperia Z Ultra’s IP55-IP58 certification (dustproof and completely waterproof), you can take full HD underwater videos without a sitch! Lastly, battery life is amazing at 15hours under normal usage.
For some, the downside of having an Xperia Z Ultra might be the size–it’s too big for a standard ladies jeans pocket. I personally prefer having my iPhone as the perfect phone size since my hands are small. Another drawback is that Sony Xperia Z Ultra is a little too picky with its microSD card so make sure your memory card is branded–a Toshiba, Sandisk or Kingston is okay. Lesser known brands like PQI, Imation, and CDR-King may not detected.
