Ilocos Trip: Pagudpud

Who says summer is over? You know you can always stretch it a little longer 😉

This time, let me take you to Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, which is on the northernmost tip of our country.

Pagudpud has always been famous for its Bangui Windmills, the first-ever commercial wind farm in Southeast Asia. These windmills are used as alternative energy sources by some of the towns in Ilocos.

While Vigan, Ilocos Sur boasts a lot of histories and heritage, Ilocos Norte is proud of its crisp, crystal blue waters and white sand shores. Swimming in these sparkly azure waters is actually the South China Sea already.

Inexpensive resorts, side by side with each other, are located along Pagudpud’s shores. The marvel of these clear waters can instantly take away those city-life stress. The ambiance is perfectly laid back and zen. It’s like your little paradise off north.

Pagudpud has become quite a famous alternative for Boracay-goers who would want the white-sand shores and for the La Union surfers for its awesome waves. Most of the resorts here offer snorkeling, kayaking, and other water activities. Others would have spa services and fresh seafood dining menu.

Without a doubt, Pagudpud is one of the best alternative for your summer getaway. 🙂
