This is one thing off our bucket list–going to a beach in Bataan. Camaya Coast boasts a very fine sanded beach in Mariveles, Bataan. It’s 1.5 hours away from Manila via boat ride from Sun Cruise. The ferry leaves the docking area by 8am, so you have to be there at least 15 minutes before that for boarding.
Currently, the resort is not yet open to the public. It’s by invitational for prospect investors. The trip to and from Camaya Coast is free–inclusive of snacks and lunch! So when we were invited to come visit, we didn’t say no for an answer.
The trip to the resort was okay, We had to go through this long bamboo bridge to reach the shore.
Upon reaching the island, you can clearly see that the view is majestic. Although the water is not as clear blue as we expected, the shore was clean and well maintained. Camaya Coast’s first phase is for turnover this Dec 2012. The other phases are still in progress. Our agent told us that, in fact, there are some celebrities have already put investment in Camaya.
My beau and I had so much fun touring the place. Camaya has 2 infinity pool as part of its amenities. Anyway, after having our lunch, we decided to dip in the beach since the infinity pool is packed. After our quick swim, we were called to the pavillion to have our snack.
We were having so much fun that we decided to went back to the beach for a swim since we still have an hour before boarding time. That’s when the unfortunate thing happened–we were stung by jellyfish! It was so unexpected.. but I appreciate that the staff in Camaya was very accommodating, they helped us and gave us first aid. Nevertheless, I enjoyed our trip sooo much. And by the time the resort is open to the public, I’d definitely want to be back.
