Summer trip to Camaya Coast

This is one thing off our bucket list–going to a beach in Bataan. Camaya Coast boasts a very fine sanded beach in Mariveles, Bataan. It’s 1.5 hours away from Manila via boat ride from Sun Cruise. The ferry leaves the docking area by 8am, so you have to be there at least 15 minutes before that for boarding.

Currently, the resort is not yet open to the public. It’s by invitational for prospect investors. The trip to and from Camaya Coast is free–inclusive of snacks and lunch! So when we were invited to come visit, we didn’t say no for an answer. :)

The trip to the resort was okay, We had to go through this long bamboo bridge to reach the shore.

Upon reaching the island, you can clearly see that the view is majestic. Although the water is not as clear blue as we expected, the shore was clean and well maintained. Camaya Coast’s first phase is for turnover this Dec 2012. The other phases are still in progress. Our agent told us that, in fact, there are some celebrities have already put investment in Camaya.

My beau and I had so much fun touring the place. Camaya has 2 infinity pool as part of its amenities. Anyway, after having our lunch, we decided to dip in the beach since the infinity pool is packed. After our quick swim, we were called to the pavillion to have our snack.

We were having so much fun that we decided to went back to the beach for a swim since we still have an hour before boarding time. That’s when the unfortunate thing happened–we were stung by jellyfish! :( It was so unexpected.. but I appreciate that the staff in Camaya was very accommodating, they helped us and gave us first aid. Nevertheless, I enjoyed our trip sooo much. And by the time the resort is open to the public, I’d definitely want to be back. :)

UPDATE:

As of May 6, 2013:

Day tour package via ferry boat is Php499.00 on weekdays (until May 10) and Php1,600.00 on weekends (includes ferry fare, entrance fee, food, usage of beach, showers and comfort room). For more info, please contact camayacoast2008@yahoo.com.

Super to hear you enjoyed the Camayacoast experience – sorry to hear of the jellyfish sting. You mentioned December, 2012 for completion of phase 1. Interesting as we were sent avery recent letter stating the end of third quarter 2012, for all current investors, which is September. What do you think of the development? Does the development look like will be ready to open soon? How about the hotel? Any information would be much appreciated…thanks Gary Knight – Hong Kong investor.
